nutrifying night face balm
Big day. Hard day. Great day.
Time to rest before you do it all again.
No time, no energy, and no care for multi-step skincare routines.
The simple but effective Night Face Balm replenishes moisture lost to the elements. Dampen your face lightly and then glide the balm over your cheeks, forehead, chin and neck, and let the 100% raw and natural oils do their thing.
Papaya seed oil is the hero of this balm. Papaya seed oil has an enzyme called papain, which is known for its exfoliating function. It can remove dead skin cells and help improve the health of your skin.
We source below-grade papayas from local farms, diverting them from landfill. The papaya seeds are hand-dried, and cold-pressed locally, then blended with other nourishing, conditioning and soothing ingredients like raspberry seed oil, castor seed oil, jojoba seed oil, sea buckthorn, mango butter, berry wax, beeswax and candelilla.
- Nourishes & conditions
- Exfoliates & balances skin tone
- Soothes & protects
- Responsibility packaged in a compostable push tube container.
The butter and waxes are formulated into the products to be able to hold the integrity of a balm.
Mango butter gives the balms a luxurious soft texture on the skin.
Berry Wax is natural soft wax which helps stabilise the balms.
Beeswax holds humectant qualities so may help keep the moisture in the skin so beneficial for a protective barrier.
Candelilla we use to hold the balm’s integrity of maintaining its form.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojojba) Seed Oil,
*Australian grown and cold pressed
Our skin secretes an oil/wax called sebum into our hair follicles that lubricates our skin and helps to keep it supple and moist. This unique oil, Jojoba, contains wax esters with a similar molecular structure to our own skin sebum. This quality makes Jojoba,a liquid wax, a great accomplice to our balms. It is a
natural moisturiser;
- is highly compatible with our own skin having the same wax esters as our sebum;
- excellent emollient with regenerative abilities;
- has antibacterial properties which helps assist our own natural skin barrier protection.
Rubus Idaeus (Raspberry) Seed Oil
Raspberry Seed Oil is the new kid on the block and is jam packed with a rich supply of skin nutrients. Studies are showing it naturally absorbs UVB and UVC ultraviolet rays so it provides a good external skin protection but by no means should applying the oil replace a 30+ sunscreen.
The high levels of linoleic and alpha linoleic acid combined with oleic acid in this plant oil can help to bring all skin types into balance. Further beneficial properties are
- exceptionally high in Vitamin E;
- skin conditioning;
- plenty of Omega 3’s & Omega 6’s;
- light with quick skin penetration.
Hippophae Rhamnoides (Sea Buckthorn) seed & berry oil
The pulp from the berries of the Sea Buckthorn are a powerhouse of vitamins that include E, C, B1, B2 plus the combined minerals of different groups of essential fatty acids. The Omega 3 & Omega 6’s in the seeds create an exceptional nourishing skin oil. Attributes of Sea Buckthorn are:
- strengthens the effect of a protective barrier;
- promotes firmness of the skin;
- smoothes and softens skin;
- has a high content of carotenoids giving it the effect of Vitamin A.
